It's been just over 3 years since FFD opened, and it's been a close knit community, one which we've all been able to share our problems together, talk freely and discuss any kind of topic that we wanted, from Final Fantasy to problems with school.

Unfortunately, the decision was made to archive the board while it still had some minimal activity, rather than let spammers come and take over, which I think we will all agree on. Although there was the fair share of drama, people leaving and not much activity, the fact that we managed to keep it going until now is a statement to say that we weren't going to let it go down without trying our best to keep it open.

So after 3 years, 50000 posts and over 1000 topics later, with one of the best and closest communities on the web, FFDiscussion has closed on the 1st December 2010

Introduction to Haven Empty
PostSubject: Introduction to Haven   Introduction to Haven Icon_minitimeTue May 11, 2010 8:10 pm

An old biulding was recently refitted into an acadamy, set in a desolate area with nothing but an old, stone town near by on the planets largest continent, surrounded by the elements. A volcano and desert to the east, hurricanes, twisters and storms in the south, to the west a vast open sea and in the north frozen wastelands are all that's around. The building's orginal purpose was to study the unnatural weather conditions that sit so closely together that it must be artifical, now it only acts as a home and school to certian idividuals who posses powers. Due to these "talents" they are feared and often treated as outcasts and monsters.

The place was chosen due to a low budget that the headmaster had so he had to settle for refitting this building instead of building his own and bringing in a few of his freinds to do the teaching along side him. The headmaster acts like a parent to the students, taking any in who fear the world for what it as become, a nightmare for those who have these powers. The acadamy draws many unusual students, not all of them have powers, and teachers looking for a place to stay and work. A few students are able to control the elements that surround them so this acadamy gives them a perfect place to train. The teachers and headmaster themselves have powers, but they have honed and mastered thier powers, making them suitable teachers to the young, who don't have a lot of control.

The Headmaster also takes on missions from all over the globe, sending the students and teachers in small teams of 2-5 people, so that the acadamy can bring in some money and biuld new facilities, upgrade the current ones and even donate some to the near by town to help the towns people to biuld newer and better biuldings, parks, attractions. Some of the students leave the acadamy at times, to help around the town, to prove that they aren't to be feared. That they are just human beings. This brings hope that they once can be accepted into the world, even with thier powers.
