O_o you guys apply early. I'm going to an open day at a place called Qantm College, but it's gonna be another 2 years before I apply for there.

I'm...improvising at the moment...I wanna apply for UT! ^-^

Wow. I got a couple years to think about college, but I wanna go to Arizona State. =]

What do you think your chances are of getting accepted to Harvard? It's true, though, for some income brackets, that going to an Ivy League is cheaper than a state school.

The List, at the moment, is as follows:

Vassar (reach),
Macalester (reach),
Reed (target),
Boston University (target),
Beloit (safety),
and University of New Hampshire (super-safety)

I think I have a pretty good shot at Macalester, but Vassar is my dream school. It's wicked selective, though, which doesn't bode well for me.

Personally, I'll think about it when the time comes, the future doesn't interest me.

That's a bit sad... The future should always evoke some sort of emotion, be it hope, anticipation, or even fear. It's certainly a fair share of the latter for me...

Why does your future not interest you? It's impossible to plan for something better without looking ahead...

I don't know, I just never thought about looking ahead, I always figured to deal with things as they come. It's easier for me.

I don't really think I'll get in, but it'll be fun applying! I have to take my SAT or ACT later this year, and then I'll see where I'll apply from there. I'm almost guarenteed to get into UNLV, but I really want to go up to Reno.

They scare me too. I don't wanna take mine, but I have to. And the ACT with the reading part to get looked at better by a lot of colleges.

Okay, I don't wanna brag, but I gotta tell you guys: I'm getting the advanced honors diploma, get to sit in the front of everyone in graduation, wear the special black robes, and qualify for the Millenium prize, which is the highest scholarship you can get in Nevada.

...now I feel like a nerd! xD

SAT used to stand for Scholastic Aptitude Test... but I don't think that it stands from anything anymore. SAT just seems to have become a name in its own right.

I scored a 1790 last time I took it... not very good. I'm hoping for higher when I take it again in October... I was quite disappointed, especially since I scored 220 on my PSAT.

Ah, so it's the equivalent to the UAI (Universities Admissions Index) that we have over here.

Just found out that they're replacing UAI with another system called ATAR, things are going to get confusing for me :\
