Faina smiled. I noticed them, but I didn't want to be rude and ask, in case you were sensative about any.

Slowly she leaned forward and kissed the ones on his face and chest, and ran her finger along the one on his back.

But I guess it would be okay to ask now...?

I wouldn't of minded telling you anyway. The most recent one is the one on my back, caused by me really. While in battle, i lent all of my fire power into someone inexperienced in using fire magic, and when she got attacked she lost controll of the fire magic and i got caught up in the wave of flames that she accidentally caused. Now for the ones on my cheek and chest, they where both caused by my farther, on the day i was thrown out of my village. He attacked me because of my fire magic, and i defended myself to late and his sword cut me right across my chest. I managed to make a run for it, but as i did he threw one of his daggers behind me. I noticed it just in time to aviod it just in time to stop it from landing a direct hit.

Kira was remembering the time he had to run from his own village, the place he had called home when he was young. His own farther had tried to kill him, as Kira's fire magic was thought an evil power that was pocessing him. Because of his youth at the time he had little control over his fire magic, often causing small burns and fire's around the village, but when he lost full controll and nearly burnt down his own home, and nearly killing his mother, the village tried to kill him.

Oh, honey... she said quietly. That's terrible. How could someone do that to you?! She played with his hair and tried not to look at the sad expression on his face. It broke her heart.

I can't really blame them. Someone as young as i was, with a large amount of fire power inside my body from birth, and fire being the most destructive elemental force, and then not being able to controll it nearly killing over a dozen people in one night. I am quite the danger when you think of it like that.

Kira sighed and looked down, taking the fish of its stick and handing it to Faina to eat.

Faina took the fish and set it down away from the fire.

Kira, stop that. How can you think that? You aren't dangerous- you've saved lots of people. You were young and confused, you didn't know any better. Now you do, and you're amazing. You've made up for any amage you may have caused by far.

My family wouldn't see it that way. I'm till the guy who is posessed by some evil fire demon to them, unfortunatly.

Kira smiled over to Faina, they both knew that he wasn't pocessed by any sort of fire demon who craved death and chaos. What Faina said had truth in it, he couldn't do anything about it then, but know he had next to full controll over his fire ability.

Not if i mantain control over the fire. If i lend you a fraction i should be able to control just how much you use at a time also. Or i can try and make some barrier to stop the fire from causing damage.
