kairi lept out of the way just in time and sprung up from the ground and flung the green stars making a line right down the path he was going and they instead made a wall or pure thick and dried earth that with his speed she was hoping he would run into

"you have some nerve showing up here." she growled "just leaving like that! were the heck have you been and why did you think it was fine to slauter these people!?! one human life is not worth another!" she yelled and threw more stars towards him

Grieves lept forward, spinning his body timing his movements with the stars dodging them again. As he landed he slashed his sword sideways deflecting the stars that attacked him. Grieves sprinted towards Kairi, moving from left to right. His speed was uncanny. It seemed like there were multiples of him. Finally he appeared right in front of Kairi, too close for him to attack with his swords, and definately too close for her to throw more stars.

Grieves looked down into her eyes. His eyes were cold, yet they showed a faint glow of affection. "Do you truely believe that I would do this? That I would massacre these innocent people?" His voice was calm and soft, yet there was a trace of sorrow in his voice. He was hurt that Kairi, and probably the others too, thought he would do this

Grieves Zweihander stood in the epicenter of the town and had sat there for hours now. A light glow emmited from below it as Grieves confronted Kairi

The Marksmen class had been practising in a section of the weapons training arena that had been sectioned off for a makeshift target arena. Lucien was getting bored with shooting at the dummies and had began to let his mind wander. He was sick of wearing the uniform, even though it was comfortable and helped his arm keep steady in his sniper practice.

As he peered over his shoulder, he saw smoke rising, not too far away. Without taking a second thought, he got up and ran towards it, ignoring the teacher's commands for him to stay. When he got closer, he saw two figures fighting, he used the scope on his sniper rifle to see who it was. Lucien was in shock to see Kairi and Grieves fighting and he didn't even know why, but when he saw that there was blood on Grieves' sword, he knew Grieves had done something evil.

"Damnit dude!" Lucien muttered as he tried to get a steady aim from where he was.

Lucien fired towards Grieves, but by the time the bullet at gotten there, Grieves had already moved out of the way. The speed of he battle forced Lucien to cease firing, knowing he might end up hitting Kairi instead.

Turning at the gunfire, Corenian noticed that Lucien seemed to be here as well and immediately dashed to his position in a crouch.
"Watch that shot, the battle they are locked in is too dangerous to fire. Anyways i need your help or the help of your sharp eyes. I'm not sure if there are any survivors left in this carnage but since we can't really go near the battle in its current state i want you to help me look for survivors with those eyes of yours if possible since firing into their battle could prove lethal to either side making it dangerous to engage."

kairi looked at john and felt her throat get a knot in it "you left-" she said and tried to hold back tears that were just on the brim of her eyes

"you left me... all alone" she said and the glowing stopped from around her and she felt weak once again.

"and.. i didnt know, if i would ever see you again." she said and looked back up at him this time taking in a deep breath

"i just... i wanted to know if it was really you." she said and pushed a strand of hair out of his face to see his eyes and she blinked looking into his eyes seeing a softness deep within them

"i just wanted to know if you were still john." she said and let her hand fall from his face

Grieves gently placed his hand on her cheek. It had been a long time since he had felt this way about anyone.

"Kairi... I am truely sorry." Grieves said softly, "I promise that I will never leave you again"

kairi wrapped her arms around him in a hug taking in a deep breath trying to stop herself from feeling to weak.

she leaned back and brushed a single tear away before smiling slightly at him

"what trouble have you gotten yourself into now?" she asked looking at the blood he was covered in

"what happened here?" she asked him in an almost whisper "are you alright?" she asked not being able to tell if he was hurt or tell if the blood was his or not

"I found the bastards that took my family from me..." Grieves said looking at the town, "Unfortunately I was too late to save the town. I managed to catch a few and I defeated them and left with only this many cuts and bruises."

she took in a sigh of relief at these words and looked at the cuts on him and put her hand on them and they healed quickly

she looked up at him and then with a sturn face flicked his forhead

"next time dont do something so dangerous without having someone to help you out!" she said and then her face softened

"so what are we planning on doing?" she asked knowing full well now that she had found him she wasnt going to let him escape from her so easily this time

Grieves rubbed his forehead after sheathing his two swords. We? It had been a long time since Grieves had done anything with a team. If he couldn't save the village alone, maybe working with others would be the best idea.

"We," Grieves started putting an emphasis on that word, "Need to find the people responsible for this and make sure they can't do this anymore."

Grieves smiled and looked at Kairi again.
"Oh and you can wave the others in now. I promise I don't bite." Grieves joked
