when his lips were locked on hers, the world was alive in an amazing way, and every beautiful thing in the world paled with what he felt

she finally pulled away to get a breath in and she blinked looking down at oogie

"i know we just met. but i feel like ive known you my entire life." she said and blinked feeling her face burning red

a drop of water hit him on the nose that had fallen from a strand of her hair and she giggled slightly

he held her tight as the droplet ran over his cheek, and he wished this moment could last forever

she felt something trickling down her arm and onto her finger and she had just through it was water but now with it tickling her fingers she glanced over to see her bandages were soaked with blood and she grimaced trying to ignore it and look back at oogie she didnt want him to know about it. then they would have to go back and that was the last thing on her list.

oogie felt a droplet run onto his hand, but it was too warm to be water, he looked down and saw blood running from Kairis hands

he tore a strip of material from his shirt and wrapped it tight around her hand

"i dont want to..." she mumbled under her breath

"seems i kinda need to though." she said and sat up for a moment sadness starting to creep into the edges of her eyes

he took her chin gently between two of his fingers and raised her head so that she was looking into his eyes.

he stood up, kissed her on the top of her head, and went to haul the anchor back on board, to make their return journey,

she felt her heart flutter and her eyes softened as she watched him not even caring if he caught her staring this time

she watched pulling his coat aroung her tightly taking in the smell of it a comfy smile pulled across her lips

He sighed as the oar was locked into place, he couldve screamed into the night, he was so happy he wanted to burst into glorious song and run from bow to stern singing kairis praises. Instead he walked to the wheel and turned it in his hands, smiling at her.
