Faina nodded absently. God, she was tired.

Faina giggled. She felt almost a little high. Was that normal?

Faina walked into the training room the next day, dressed for the upcoming suicide rescue mission. She wore a black turtle neck and black jeans and boots. Her hair was still up, her eyeliner and eye shadow dark. She had a bag stuffed with necesities- also black- that she put in the corner. She didn't want to have to make the trip nack to her room when the time came to leave.

With a sigh, she rolled her sleeves up. She didn't expect Kira to push her too hard- he wouldn't want her to be exhausted for this trip. But she felt the need to be able to protect her group- her extended family- in any way she could. She wasn't much for fighting, but if Kira could teach her to at least start a fire, she might be of some assistance.

Kira backed up through the door, carrying his load for todays training. He had brought his backpack loaded with food and drinks for the mission later on in the night. He wore the all black gear he had worn yesterday to the meeting. His blades where attached to his right shoulder, instead of their usual place on his back. In his arms Kira carried a bundel of sticks and a few large stones. He was going but Faina'a natural learning talent to the test today. He had brought enough food for them both to eat after the training so they wouldn't leave the garden on an emtpy stomach. Placing down the sticks and stones somewhere near the middle of the room, he moved to place his blades and bag up against the wall next to Faina's bag. Looking over to Faina, who looked started at him carrying so much into the room at once, he laughed and waved.

So then, lets get started.

You feeding the entire group, or just yourself there, Tiger? she laughed.

What do you have in store for me today?

Faina laughed. I brought food for myself. I came prepared. But whatever.

So how do we do this? She walked over to the pile of wood and stones.

Faina took a deep breath and knelt down. She slowly stacked the wood, and placed the rocks around them to keep tem in place. She then closed her eyes and held her hands out. The heat started trickeling down into her fingers, and before long, the sparks started to fly. But this tme she knew what was happening and didn't freak out. She kept pushing the heat down, until a small, tiny flame emerged. She gasped and touched the wood. After a moment, it caught fire.

Faina screamed happily and jumped up. The flame on her finger disapeared. She threw her arms around Kira and hugged him.
