I know you're wondering why the training grounds. Don't worry, we're not going to spar, this is the best place to have some privacy and show you my friend. Her name... is Shiva.

Shinu started to focus, his eyes fluttered and then slammed closed. His body began to shake and his veins portruted out of his body, their color turning blue. As frost start to form around his lips, a tear fell from his eye, and froze before it hit the ground. As it shattered...

A beautiful ice goddess, clothed only where necessary in indigo garments arose from the shards. She shoook her long intangled indigo hair, seemingly floating over a sheet of ice. She smiled at Shinu, already aware that the situation wasn't a dangerous one.

Shiva, meet Nioelle.

Nioelle stared in amazement the entire time. When Shiva emerged, she did all it took not to touch her.

She's beautiful!

It was all she could gasp out, still staring at her.

I thought you two might like eachother. Nice to see you again Shiva. It's nice to have someone else meet you. Now, why don't you show our new friend what it's like to be an ice goddess?

Shinu smiled as Shiva nodded. He walked over to Nioelle and grabbed her by the waist, easily lifting her off the ground.

You'll be fine, just trust me.

He placed her on top of the ice sheet. Before she could blink, Shiva swooped her up and began to freeze the ground, sliding on it without the need to propel her feet. Each time they reached the edge of the arena, the ice sharted into small flakes, glimmering all around Shiva and Nioelle. Soon the room was full of snow flaked glitter, a spectacular show of light. Shiva ended with a large ice shard hurling down at them, breaking into a slow twister of flakes that spiraled around Nioelle, encasing her in a friendly ice bed.

Beautiful.

Nioelle was amazed. Is this a dream? She thought as the ice whirled around her. She shivered, but kept smiling.

This is amazing! Although, it is a bit cold!

Nioelle hated complaining and wanted to take back what she said the moment the words left her mouth. Shinu was being so nice to her, and she was complaining.

Shiva! Thank you my friend... until next time!

Shiva and all the ice shriveled up, compressing intself into a dense tiny ball that rolled to Shinu's feet. In a moment it blasted into tiny specks and Shinu opened his mouth as the snow poured back in to his body.

I'm sure it looks weird, and admittedly, it took some getting used to. When I first joined with Shiva, I was always sick, my body temperature was lower than most humans as you can imagine. I wasn't prepared to be her friend at the time, but my body adapted. Don't worry about the complaining though, it's only natural for you to get cold. I want to show you the latest training I've been doing.

Shinu walked over to Nioelle and put his arms around her. He tucked her head onto his chest and stood still for a second. Since he was much taller than her, she couldn't see his eyes turning red, and suddenly, small bubbles appeared in his veins. His temperature was rising drastically, and he had given himself a fever through mind control.

You see, my latest research shows that near the Garden we will meet a fire entity. No one knows its name or what it looks like, but I've been desperately training mind and body to be able to withstand the heat it will bring.

He looked down on her and smiled.

Is it making you warmer yet?

Nioelle blushed as Shinu held her closely. He was warming her, but she didn't want to admit it, at least now for a little longer.

I'm a little warmer. Maybe a little bit longer?

Nioelle second-thought herself. She had just met Shinu, and didn't want to ruin her chances of getting to know him. She would be nice to him, yes, that was in her nature, but she wouldn't start falling in love yet, if that was what you could call it. She never felt this before.

I'm warmer now, thank you!

Shinu was happy with the way things were going. His studies were paying off in more ways than one already. Nioelle was very pretty and even nicer than she looked. He wasn't a fool though, he knew they had nothing but time to get to know one another better, and for now, he'd slow things down.

He smiled at her and backed away for a second, allowing his body to come back down to normal. Years of climate controlled training was definitely going to be useful at this school. For now though, he'd need to check himself because his personality was that of his idol, the greatest conquerer known to man. Shinu had a go getter mentality, and he never felt it necessary to not work for what he wanted. His mother knew it, and she did well to tone him down well enough to get to know others. Looking at Nioelle, that is exactly what he wanted to do.

Hey Nioelle, what do you say we go somewhere... with seats? The library maybe? I'd like to learn more about you.

Nioelle nodded excitedly and turned for the door.

I suppose it would be...around here somewhere?

Nioelle laughed at her own stupidness. Of course it would, she thought, why wouldn't it be?

This place is so big, I hope we will be able to find our way around!
