To tell the truth, I'm more hyped for v13 & 14. Trying to recreate a similar feeling to old FF's is alright, but I think they should stay away from trying to base the gameplay/characters off FF7/8.

I can't wait till I play it. But same as Sarah & TherathxRikku, can't play it. Even though versus' main character, Noctis, caught my attention. I think his character will make a big blow!!

But I was shocked when I saw Lightning's character. It wasn't as I expected!!! >_< I'm a bit disappointed with it.

So, I'm more for versus than 13.

Also, agree with apzrman.

I won't be getting FF13 for a while. Red Steel 2 comes out near the launch of FF13 and costs $20 less (including Wii motionplus).

It's kind of a rip-off that I have to pay AU$120, when in America it's AU$68

I can't wait for it personally But i'm waiting until summer to buy it, because i know that otherwise i'll spend all my time on it and won't revise
Seen a few reviewxs for it though, it got 9/10 in OPM UK which is pretty good

I saw a lot of videos & trailers for it from everywhere. The story doesn't look so bad. The fantasy in it really great. Design & everything was great.

But I didn't get this Snow guy into my head. Didn't like him much. I though Lighning was supposed to be a bit anti-social, or less talkative, but its the total opposite.

She is open, she is social, she is talkative, not the impression I got from her looks!

She is suppose to be the female equivalent of FF7 Cloud - who in the game is very sociable.


I'm now skipping FF13 as I've heard that FF14 is coming to 360.

Yeah, that's what the fans say, but the produer himselfs says it's not true :/ She looks okay to me, though

Who's hyped for FF13?

I don't know if i am or not - it's been getting good reviews, but the fact that it's so streamlined (No talking to NPCs, no real exploring, no side quests other than monster hunting, no shops other than one at save points, no real interaction with the world) makes it really just a game where you run down a pretty corridor, fight, watch a cutscene and repeat. I'm gonna wait for it to go down in price =/

I've pre-ordered Red Steel 2, which comes out a few weeks after, so I have no money for it. But I'm excited for FF14, whic has been pretty much confirmed for 360 XD

He did talk. But don't remember him being THAT social!!!

Also, from the pics which were half was Lightning & the other was Noctis, it really gives you the feeling that she is really unsociable, & not easliy approached, somehow like Pain from FF X.

I remember a scene in FF7 where Cloud gives the team a pep talk before they went to the Northern Cave.

No, no. He did talk a lot about missions & stuff, but I meant normal talk, chatting. If you saw the film AC, his character is much more clear there.

Anyway, I think we'll go off topic if we continue, so it's better if we stop.

About what Ricky said, I'm not sure about the exploring & talking parts, but yeah, it's really sad about the shops not there!!!! This was one major part of FF series, & gives great fun finding weapons & stuff in the shops, selling, buying & everything. I hope it's just rumors.

It's funny how the tam came out and said it'd take too long to make the game in full HD if it had towns in it, yet Lost Odessey and (presumably) FFv13 have big towns to go to.

Yeah. From some trailers, towns were pretty big & too detailed. ^.^

Lost Odessey has a similar camera movement to FFX (and very similar battle system).

FFv13 would be harder to dertermine since we havn't seen any in-game footage that's based outside a building.

Oh, sorry, just went to check the posts. I meant FF13 not Versus. As for Versus, can't say for sure, since the trailers were only scenes not game play, as you said.

Ah ok. I don't think you'd be able to play in most of Pulse, which I believe is the only inhabited city in the game.

I wonder if they'll show any gameplay of FFv13 at GDC.

But you know, one of the trailers they were flying in an aircraft, so it's possible.
