It's been just over 3 years since FFD opened, and it's been a close knit community, one which we've all been able to share our problems together, talk freely and discuss any kind of topic that we wanted, from Final Fantasy to problems with school.

Unfortunately, the decision was made to archive the board while it still had some minimal activity, rather than let spammers come and take over, which I think we will all agree on. Although there was the fair share of drama, people leaving and not much activity, the fact that we managed to keep it going until now is a statement to say that we weren't going to let it go down without trying our best to keep it open.

So after 3 years, 50000 posts and over 1000 topics later, with one of the best and closest communities on the web, FFDiscussion has closed on the 1st December 2010

Release Date for FFXIII on 360 in North America is Spring 2010. A bit vague, but at least it's under a year Razz

Yeah which kind of sucks, but they're predicting what will be the next great thing. I think if done properly it can be very good. I see this one being way more successful than 11. Right now it would sell bad, but years from now, I trust Squeenix on this one.

Well I personally never played it because I couldn't really afford it at the time. Then it didn't seem like the right time to release it. But with the insane success of browser mmos right now, it's just a matter of time before that transfers to the console and a name like Square Enix could be the one to set it over the top.

MEGA UPDATE!

  • Final Fantasy XIII is set to come out on the 17th of December for Japan, with international releases following.
  • Here is a video of the new FFXIII song "Kimi ga Iru Kara"
  • A new character has been confirmed by the media, but no footage of her has been released. She is said to be a "bad ass" (as said by those who saw her).
  • Sazh's summon is Ifrit and he, like the Shiva twins, will transform. Ifrit's transformation is said to be a hotrod with machine guns.

Wow thats awesome!! I have a 360 XD but not a PS3. I know ff13 agito is only for psp, but what about versus?
Is that only for ps3 or do you think they'll make it for 360 too?

It's definitely going to stay as a PS3 exclusive, but I can see FF14 being only a timed exclusive (meaning it'll be for PS3 for a while then come out on 360).

Sucks too koz I want v13 and I don't have a ps3... yet.
