the bcs has always been shit... i mean the better ranked teams always stay high no matter the loses....

Well I'll start with a big reason... money.

Illinois had no business being in the rose bowl to play USC when Georgia should have played them for sure.

BUT since the Big Ten gives the rose bowl money, they have to basically take whatever big ten team is the best option available.
