The vocabulary isn't so much of an issue as critical reading. You'll
probably be able to get all of the words from context, so the
vocabulary isn't much of an issue. Just be sure not to get tricked by the vocabulary, because often, the use of the word in context will be completely different from the common definition of the word.
Though, maybe I'm not the best person to take this advice from. Critical Reading was my best section, followed by Writing, and rounded out with a pretty low (relatively) Math score. 1790 isn't bad, but I could have brought it up by a lot if I'd done better in math.
Oh, and guess if you can eliminate one or more answers. Which I'm sure has been drummed into you at this point.
Don't stress about the SATs, though. The thing is, a good SAT won't get you into a good college. It's just that a bad SAT will keep you out of one. Find out what the average SAT score for your planned colleges are, and aim to overshoot this. It's a lot more concrete than trying to "do well on the SAT."
A lot of colleges don't even give too much priority to your SATs; your transcript is a much better gauge of your academic performance.
