In the year 2032, only three superpowers remain in the world, and the militaries have become ever more important than in years past. The training to be in the army has become increasingly important as opposed to a mass of numbers that used to be prominent. China, the United Nations, and the United States of America each had unique styles of training for their potential soldiers, who were giving a whole new meaning to the name. The United States was about to employ one of the most effective ways of trainings for developing small private armies to send off on major missions.

A small privately owned military plane held a small number of troops, strapping on their parachutes and huddling in a small circle. Sergeant Johnson stepped out of the back cabin and unloaded a large box onto the floor in front of the potential troops. He sorted through them and arranged the items to be separated into complete items. There were a fair amount of items on the ground and all the troops looked at one another. There were all sorts of items for them to mull over, including:

Alright, the five of you are all that you will have for a month, so to make it a little more interesting, we're going to allow each of you to bring two of these items along with you on the island. It's up to the five of you to decide if yall will take two items for yourselves, or choose the items that will best benefit the team as a whole. You have two minutes, starting now!

Shinu eyed everyone down in the plane. Some were older and some were younger, and only one girl made it to this point so far. He wasn't sure how he felt about everyone, he just wanted to stay alive, the training was crucial to receiving a high ranking in the army, and his family needed the income. His initial thoughts were to be selfish, take the two best items that he could use and be done with it, but he thought that working as a team would be far more beneficial in the long run. Time was limited, so he acted quickly.

I think we need to quickly reach a consensus on the best ten items and take them, we need to work together to be as efficient and successful as we can. What do you all think? I think the gun, sword, rope, medikit, spear, and net are the most important, and that leaves us with four extra items to select.

Mia looked at him and then at the items on the ground. There wasn't too much of it, but if they choosed the right ones they could survive. Of course she knew they had to work together, it was hard already to survive and having an enemy who could choose better items would be stupid. She nodded at Shinu.

I agree to this items, but we should take water and food too. Later we will be able to find all this I believe, but when we will finally land theres no guarantee we will find it so easy.

Lucien stared at the booze, wanting to take it with him, but knowing that it will just get in the way of the training. He quickly looked at the items and what kind of people were on the plane.

The torch is vital. I heard that these parts get dark very quickly and we can't afford to be walking around in complete darkness. The throwing knives aswell. We might have to do some hand-to-hand combat down there.

Kisagaru looked around him, eyeying each person that was sitting around him. He glanced at the items, and looked each over, considdering what was good for himself, and what was good for others. He didn't really care for the others; he didn't really know them. But, he decided to speak anyway.

"We'll need the Medi Kit in case of injurry. We won't be able to survive without it. Next would be the sword, because it would be better than a knife for close combat, and it would be able to cut branches easier. Then we would need the food and water to last us for a while. We could get food and water prepared for later if we already have some. Next would be the jugs, the help get fresh water if there isn't much where we're goig, or to store water if there is some. Next would be the net to catch fish or other animals. The axe would be to cut larger trees and branches for firewood and shelter. It wouldn't be that good for fighting. The torch would be next, so we could see in the dark. The lighter would be useful until it ran out of fluid. The pots and pans would come in handy so we could cook and prepare food easier, without having to make a makeshift one. The lance would be last, so we could use it to throw at animals or at fish. It would be stronger than the regular spear over there."

He stopped talking, and decided that he had said enough. He had seen what would be useful and what would be useful for a short time, and eliminated what they could use and what they could easily make. He decided to say one last thing.

"The gun would only last for a while, and it would take a hell of a shot to get through trees and bushes anyway. The rope we could easily make. The spear wouldn't be as strong at the lance. The camera and batteries serve no purpose, just like the condoms, cigarettes, weed, booze, sunhats, suntan lotion, the cutlry and the bible. The throwing knives would only last for as long as you knew where you threw them. and there are only three."

He stopped talking again, and closed his eyes. He waited for the time limit to be up. He already had in mind what he would take.

Mia looked at Kisagaru thinking.

I agree to Medi Kit, it may be userful, but if we want take the torch we will need betteries, it wouldn't be so good idea. If there will be people that will want to catch, or kill us we will just show them where we are. If we'll need light we could use fire. I personally wouldn't take the sword either, I believe that the person who will carry it will have problem if it comes to climbing and branches we could cut with axe if we'll need.

Ok, our time is almost up, everyone has made good suggestions, but we only have fifteen seconds now.

Time started to tick slowly in Shinu's head. He had mulled over the options, everyone's opinions, and now it was time to just get the show on the road. He was able to get out a few last words before he grabbed his two items.

Don't worry about the axe, I am proficient enough with the sword so that I can cut through trees with enough effort. I will take the sword and the pots and pans, they could double for water jugs so we don't need those either. Everyone, grab your items.

Shinu snatched the sword and the pot and pan collection and swiftly harnessed it to his body before grabbing the parachute with his name on it and leaping as far as he could away from the carrier plane. His arms spread out wide and the gusts of wind slapped at his body as his nose dived down towards the island. The exhileration poured through his body as he awaited to look back to see who else had followed, and if anyone chickened out. There was that guy that didn't say a word, it was going to be interesting.

Lucien grabbed the throwing knives and gun (as he was an experienced man when it came to weaponry). He grabbed his parachute and dived off the plane. He could see that Shinu was looking back, but he knew that everyone assigned to the training would end up jumping out.

Tavington who was standing in the shadows of the plane watching sliently and motionless untill now, limpinng on his gold caped cane dispite his youthful face and phisyic, tied his shoulder length hiar back into a tail leaving two bangs down the side. swooped down picking up the net and lance (let me know if i can't use them) realising it's use for catching fish and animals alike, picked up his paracute in the same movment, strapping the lance to the back of his red cape, and the net to his chest, tucking his shinning black cane up with the lance as well, he gracfully jumped out of the plane, behind Lucien and Shinu. not realising his paracute right away he formed himself into a dart and zipped down before pulling his cord and slowing down right next to Shinu. who he just mearly nodded to, (which was a sign of great respect coming from Tavington.)

Mia looked at them jumping off the plane and took her parachute. She looked at the items one last time and grabbed the Medi Kit and Food and Water. With all this attached to her looked back at Kisagaru.

I guess you know what to take right? I'll see you on the ground.

She smiled at him and jumped off the plane happy that she will finally be on the ground soon. Mia didn't liked planes. Even jumping with parachute seemed safer than just sitting inside a heavy flying machine. As she was half way to reach the ground she opened her parachute.
