After settling into his dormitory, Shinu decided to see if anyone else had arrived yet at the Garden. He was already worried that there would be no one his age, or in his area of study for that matter. He definitely was worried about standing out too much at first. His size was noticable, and that could cause people to not get to know him. Hopefully he'd fit in here, and he went down to the lobby to find out.

Empty. Shinu couldn't believe no one showed up yet! He was about to head back to his room when he saw her. A pretty girl with green eyes. It has to be a mirage, he thought. But no, there was actually a girl at the Garden already. He couldn't have asked for anything more. He was instantly curious about her, so he walked right over to her and gave her a smile as she saw him coming. Politely, he stretched out his hand.

Hello, my name is Shinu, it's nice to meet you.

Nioelle sighed happily, setting the last thing down on the table beside her bed--a picture of her mother, who had died the year before. She smiled sadly at the picture, but remembered where she was and quickly forgot her sadness. She was at Garden, where she would make new friends and get to learn how to control magic better.

Nioelle decided to go and sit on a bench in the main lobby, maybe see a few people and get to meet them. She was upset no one had arrived yet, but decided to be patient and wait. Soon, a man approached her and introduced himself as Shinu. Nioelle smiled at him and took his hand.

I'm Nioelle. It's nice to meet you, too. For a second I thought I was the only one in here!

Pleasure to meet you Nioelle, that's quite the lovely name. Fitting actually.

Shinu gave her a three quarter smile, glad she was as thankful to see him as he was to see her. Before he let go of her hand, he gave it a simple kiss.

Forgive me if I'm a bit overbearing, we do things a bit differently where I'm from. So anyways, what are you studying here?

Nioelle lightly blushed as Shinu complemented her, and blushed even more when he kissed her hand.

Oh, uhm, magic. And you?

Nioelle could barely get the words out. No one had really treated her like this before, it was something new.

Shinu smiled when she said she was studying magic. At least he'd see her around in the library. He took a seat next to her on the bench before speaking.

Magic is a fine area of study. Quite remarkable being able to conjure up elements through mind and body. I can't wait to learn more about your mind, and maybe we can learn from one another. I have to control my mind and body as well, but not to summon an element. I summon separate entities altogether. Their called GFs, and they are superpowered beings that I am trained to call into battle. Maybe I'll show you one day.

Shinu looked at the entrance. He sort of hoped he'd be alone with Nioelle for a little longer to get to know her, but he also hoped they wouldn't be the only two students! Not like it would happen, but it was a funny thought.

Nioelle took a secial interest to his field of study.

I'd love that! Are any of them cute? Sorry, I just love cute little monsters!

Nioelle felt a connection to Shinu, one she never felt with any other man she ever met. Maybe it was because he had been so kind to her, when all of the others she knew had treated her as one of the guys.

I like the ice element the best. And water spells.

She had started to get nervous he'd leave when he looked towards the entrance. She began wringing her hands and hoped she didn't do anything wrong already.

Cute? Ha, I don't know about that. Most of the GFs I research haven't been found by the Garden since we just opened. I do have one that I can summon for now. Like you, it's a thing of beauty... and if you like ice... oh just come with me! You have to see!

Shinu reached out for her hand as he stood up.

Nioelle bounced to her feet, taking a hold of Shinu's hand.

You really are too kind, Mr. Shinu

She blushed, the comment he made finally sinking in.

Johnathan had finally arrived at Balamb Garden. His bag over his shoulders he walked into the main lobby. His area of study obvious due to the blades hanging from his belt. A longsword at his side and knives on the back of the belt.
He took a look around the lobby. He saw only two other students and they were walking away.

'might as well get settled and find the training room. I have a feeling im gonna be very acquainted with it.' Grieves thought to himself

A car pulled up and the chauffeur came around to open the back seat door. Out stepped Kryst who pushed her hair behind her as the wind blew over them. He took a step and handed her a black backpack with embroidered butterflies the colours of the rainbow. She slipped it on and walked towards the academy. "Miss, your things will arrive later," said the driver closing her door. She continued inside as he drove away.

Kryst stopped in the lobby and glanced around warily, "Where to even start.." She took notice of a male a bit away from her. In her mind, she was debating on approaching him or moving on.
