Researching a mysterious past (Shinu and Corenian only)

Shinu hurriedly wrote down every word, never looking up to make sure he didn't miss a thing.

The grim reaper huh? That's quite interesting. That means that three spirits still remain here. Yourself, the reaper, and a Guardian Force named Diablos. He will be the next spirit I try to communicate with to learn more about the grim reaper. Until then, I will also be conducting scientific studies to help my cause. As you said, it's quite the feat to try to cheat death. From now on, I will ask Corenian questions for you and the two of you can decide if it will be direct communication or he will translate for us. Sound good? Also, is there anything you'd like to ask of me while we're talking?

"If you put it that way... I'll let him translate, this process of communication has detrimental effects on his body... and his life span, alright please wait a moment then."
The body gave out another loud cry and bit by bit, the effects began to wear off and the colours began to fade. This went on for afew minutes before Corenian finally fell back into the chair, totally exhausted panting, "W-what did i miss?"

He looked toward Fia, listening intently to her speech and nodding after every few sentences.
"Alright, ok ... according to Fia, there are other spirits in the world, they're just scattered and hard to reach which is why they are so rare. Oh and most bear grudges against humans as well. Hmmm? Alright. She wants to ask, this want to cheat death, is it only for the cause of deafeating Diablos or to attain immortality as well. A-as for m-my queston, even if you manage to cheat death and somehow attain immortality, would you actually wish to remain on earth forever?"

That's a very honorable question Fia. I don't want to cheat death to defeat Diablos. In fact, it's not to defeat anyone. Immortality is indeed what I am after. Since you have been so honest with me, I'll be honest with you.

Many years ago, the human race thrived and became very technologically advanced, far more so than today. They developed weapons that could destroy the entire planet, and in fact, they did. They built these weapons at an incredible pace, and soon used them against each other.

Should I become immortal, I would be a threat to anything of this nature. Nuclear weapons would be of no use because I could stop them. Aside from just that, I seek to do what you've done. Stick close by the one I love the most. If I'm immortal, I'll never have to leave Nioelle. If I could make her immortal too, we'd never be apart.

Taking in that huge sum of information, Corenian sighed and stared at Shinu for a few seconds, intrigued by his plan.
"Well if that is your goal then i suppose trying to stop you isn't going to work. Very well, I'll help you all I can. As for me, I'll just live the rest of my life as long as I can and when it's over, I'll see how it goes from there. Well, ask away, I to the best of my abilities though all i can say is, living and fighting for an eternity to ensure peace will not be asy, it definetely dosen't sound easy. What is causing humans to act as they do is their short lifespan, even if peace is brought about now, this meager exsistence will tempt people for generations to come to fight another war, as history has repeated over and over... pardon me, it seems I've begun to, well go ahead, ask what you need to know, I'll aid you the best I can."

Shinu reached out and shook Corenian's hand, grabbing his papers with the other.
