"eep!" she mumbled being startled by the speaking and jumped nearly falling off her stack of books she was standing on and blinked grabbing onto his arm to keep from falling then blinked

"oh. hello. um..." she said and blinked

"would you mind grabbing that book for me? im... short" she mumbled the last part hating how she was one of the shortest students in school. her family used to tease her saying she could have gotten into school on a midget scholarship. fortunately she was taller then that. not by much but still.

she sighed "i have a huge paper due by tomorrow so im a little frantic" she said and gulped wishing she had gotten a nicer teacher

Faina entered the library, her hands nervously twisting the hem of her skirt. She was a giant, walking nervous habit. She bit her lip, she cracked her knuckles, she twisted the pulled at her clothes... No one was going to like her, she just knew it.

She saw her roommate sitting on the couch in the corner with a handsome looking man, and Grieves talking to another girl that she didn't know. She contamplated going up and talking to them. Greives seemed nice enough in the Garden, and the other girl looked friendly. So why not?

Because she was a coward, that's why not. She really needed to get over that. So instead of going out on a limb and approaching anyone, she headed back to what looked like the books on Summoning and reached for one, ploping herself down in a chair and immersing herself. She really did have a lot to learn...

Grieves reached up and took the book off the shelf, handing it to Kairi as Faina walked by. He could tell that she was nervous.

"I wish you the best of luck on your paper Kairi." Grieves said with a slight bow and began to walk towards faina, stopping to turn around and say, "Try not to over do it ok?"

Grieves approached Faina looking at the oldest books in the library. He noticed Shinu had been back here from time to time so he guessed they were books on summons.

"Need help with something?"

"thanks john, ill try." she said and smiled taking her books to the table and opened it. it was on advanced re healing and re evolving into a higher form of life. she gulped at this.

' so now not only do i have to heal a person but i have to learn how to make it better then new?!?' she thought and blinked looking at the examples done on the flowers.

she looked at the table at a flower in a little pot and pulled it in front of her. it was wilted and sagging which made her sigh but it was a good test subject none the less

touching the stem of the flower kairi let her finger tips glow a slightly blue but it only healed the flower not turning it from a daisy to a rose like the example.

she scratched her head and bent the flower a little then tried again. she repeated this until her head was dizzy

'dear god...' she thought and sighed touching the plant again wishing with all her might that it would turn into a rose.

the daisy pulled back into a bud and then came out as a tulip and she smiled slightly. not the exact reaction she wanted but it had changed.

she wrote down the time and the date and the experiment in her journal and smiled at this then moved on to the paper she was to write and sighed. it was on the molecular build of a mulitcellular organism.

she let out a soft groan and started writting twisting her hair with her finger everyonce in a while her brain feel like it was fried all the way through at this point.

Corenian sat at a table not far from Kairi, totally abosorbed in the creation of one of his martial arts books. He was in a working frenzy after the criticism the librarian had given him on the book he ha tried to add to their library
"Sorry, but that book is too foreign. We don't really have anyone else learning such arts. If you want to donate a book, donate one that others can undrstand first. Maybe then we will consider this one."
Those words still rang in his head and because of that, he was now forced to write a book on more rudimentary parts of the martial arts, mainly basic stances and styles. However for the sake of spreading the arts from the mountains, he would not give up. Besides, he had Fia around to help him check for any errors. But even so writing such simplistic steps down was not easy for him and it deeply annoyed him that some of the steps had become so much more on instinct that he had clean forgotten how to phrase them. Hammering the table hard, he tore one whole page worth of diagrams out, tossing it behind him in rage. Getting the basics right all over again was deeply annoying him.

kairi blinked turning to the side seeing him toss a paper and she grabbed it then sat back down opening it up and reading it through

"why would you through this away?" she asked and tried to flatten it out

"can i keep it? i would like to study it" she smiled at him "its a little like sensei taught me only this is a little more complex. a few more steps" she said and looked down thankful she had an excuse to ttake a slightl break

Turning around, Corenian noticed that Kairi had apparently caught his dud work and though it was complete for the most part there was one problem with it
"Hmmm? O-oh s-sure, hold on though, there is one error as well in the later steps," he replied, moving over to where she was and gently took the paper from her
"this step here was drawn wrong, attempting that would leave you right open, " he said, pointing at one near the very end, "I could just correct on the paper for yo but since i did it in ink, the library may not accept cancellation and... there, all done, you can keep it if you want, give your sensei abit of a surprise the next time round."
With that, he returned her the page, though there was a cancellation it should still do find if it was for personal work though it couldn't be pulished. Looking to Fia, he saw here signalling at the completed manuals and gesticulating wildly but after awhile, he understood it completely.
"If you want, i can lend you some of the completed ones as well. Nothing too advanced, i think you should be able to handle it."

"that would help me out so much" she said and studied the page intentlyand look at the flower

"if i can change a flower..." she thought and grabbed the pen he had used and set the tip on the paper by the error and tried to absorb the ink.

some off it did come up but then her arm fell on the table limp and she winced and handed him back the pen

"nevermind that hurt" she said rubbing her arm and looking at her hand to see that she had absorbed the ink all the way through the pen into her hand staining it.

" alright ill let you get back to your work" she said and smiled "dont give up though" she said and looked back at her paper rubbing her arm that was in a slight throb

Faina jumped at the sound of Grieves' voice.

Oh, hi! I'm just trying to study up on... Oh, just about everything. I think I should probably talk to that other Summoner... What's his name again? Oh, right, Shinu. I'm awful with names. Hahaha... She realized she was rambeling YET AGAIN and shut up.
