FFDiscussion
It's been just over 3 years since FFD opened, and it's been a close knit community, one which we've all been able to share our problems together, talk freely and discuss any kind of topic that we wanted, from Final Fantasy to problems with school.

Unfortunately, the decision was made to archive the board while it still had some minimal activity, rather than let spammers come and take over, which I think we will all agree on. Although there was the fair share of drama, people leaving and not much activity, the fact that we managed to keep it going until now is a statement to say that we weren't going to let it go down without trying our best to keep it open.

So after 3 years, 50000 posts and over 1000 topics later, with one of the best and closest communities on the web, FFDiscussion has closed on the 1st December 2010

Yep, you read right. FF14 has been announced already and the Fabula series hasn't even come out yet!

It's going to be online just like FF11 was.

So far it's exclusive to PS3. Some say that it will come out on pc aswell, but I'm sure M$ will find some way of bringing it to the 360$$$

Here's a trailer

I hope not. I'm kinda a Sony fangirl. xD And they already got FXIII AND they stole Kojima from us and got Metal Gear Rising- which is a SPINOFF, not a sequal like Peace Walker is. Wink So there.

its not going to the X Box 360, they have made that clear at E3 09. however making it to the PC may happen, but i wouldnt be too sure since the graphics are insane.

It said that it was launch exclusive, so it might eventually find it's way on to the 360. Either that or it's going to be (console wise) PS3 exclusive.

They should definitly make a Final Fantasy XIV, I sometimes think it wouldnt be crazy if my grandkids might be playing Final Fantasy XXXVIII in the future, but i think they shouldve given XIII a chance to be released first. Like I said about the XIII Compilation and X-2, not giving the actual game a chance before you throw in sequals will just lead to a disaster. Not enough to end Final Fantasy or anything, but they should still keep it kinda slow.

Yeah, I think they should slow down as well, but the Square part of Squre-Enix has a huge division now and they need to keep each team working or they'll just end up dying out.

((triple post!))

Square-Enix has updated the FF14 website with new information about the gladiator and Pugilist classes. Check out the site (here), and look around for any information you might not know or any footage/screenshots you havn't seen.

Also, check out the bestiary that's got a link to it just under the site page (once you choose your language), the creatures look so realistic. I've never seen a Marlboro look so life-like.

I really need to convince my parents that playing an online game will not kill my computer...although, if I do get on and play this, I don't think I'll ever leave my computer! Final Fantasy XIV Icon_razz

Thanks for all the info!
