I just don't like how shallow the character development is. If it weren't for that one problem (and Vaan being the 'main' character) I would've enjoyed the game more.

I gotta admit, I love and hate FFXII. True, the characters really aren't that special in any way. The story failed compared to the older FFs (9 & lower), and the gameplay was an iffy for me. I think the only thing that kept me going was the battle system. It was different but kinds fun for me. However, I just stopped playing it altogether. The only FFs that I feel are worth playing is the first nine & some of the spin-offs (FFTactics, FF7 games, etc.).
