Kira embraced her even harder as he listened to her rant. She was obviously getting angry with the fact that she was being held back by a man who had lost all trace of his own confidence. Cid could even need Shinu more then most of the students here. Faina needed to get Siren, with or without the help of the missing Shinu. He kept holding her, embracing her, hugging her making sure she knew that she was okay, that she could talk and talk and talk and that he would listen to her. We are going to rescue Shinu. We will get him back and then you will learn more about summoning. Siren would be a problem as we men can't go near her. That leaves only you and the other five female students to battle it out and win. I won't allow you to fight with such odds stacked against you Faina, first we get Shinu back, then we will focus on your summoning.

She scowled.


It just makes me angry, you know? I'm capable. He just can't see that. But thank you. We'll make it through this, I'll get Siren, and Cid will feel like an idiot for holding me back.

Faina immediately softened and smiled. Kira was amazing.

She giggled.

Yeah, yeah. So tomorrow we begin?

She assumes he would say no. He was so protective. It flattere.d her, but she'd been on her own almost four years. She didn't need to be protected
