Dear Nini,

If you've found this letter, one of two things has already happened, I've either taken down the Galbadian leader, or I'm no doubt in their prison. I want you to know that leaving you was the hardest decision I've ever had to make. The night we stayed together was the best night of my life, and as promised, there's no way I'm going to die now. I know that my brain is valuable, but I doubt they can get anything out of me, still they will try because of my research.

I talked to the man Corenian brought back to the Garden to learn of the location of the Galbadian leader and the way things work there. I wanted to end the threat to our Garden immediately, and taking any of you would be too obvious that I didn't truly want to join them. I wanted to tell you, I wanted to tell everyone, but I knew you would only try to help me and jeapordize my mission.

If more than three months have passed, I think it's safe to assume I failed. I will never give up information about the Garden or GFs for as long as they keep me alive, which should be a long time because nothing they know is as beneficial to them as my research would be. Rest assured though, nothing is more important to me than your well being. That's why I painfully kept my plan a secret from you.

I have a few things I want you to say to the others for me. To Kira and Raven, tell them I will not be mad if they never forgive me for what I've done. Those were my two best friends at the Garden and I feel like I may have let them down. Oh and I hope that everyone has gotten over the immediate hate they must have for me, I really do care about all of you.

Now in the event that I have failed, I don't know many details about how to rescue me. The prison is located on the only desert in Galbadia, it's built underground so you'll have to climb down and then back up to get out. If there is a need to rescue me, one thing I know for sure is... you need Erk. He is the most powerful person in the Garden, and will not undermine the rescue mission. Cid may not need to know, but Erk will. Please don't hold his actions against him, he is a great asset of the Garden's.

Don't forget the promise I made you Nini. I'm not going to die and leave you all alone. I'm sorry I had to do it for some time, but it was a risk I had to take. I miss you, and most importantly, I love you.

Kira sat down next to Raven, shaking his head. Shinu, a prisoner for 8 months. For all they know he could be dead by now. And it would take them a while to even mount a rescue team and get to the desert. Kira looked up to Nioelle, she must be taking this the hardest out of the three. The person she loved was now locked up or possible dead from stravation or torture, and she had no idea until right now. Looking back to the floor, his eyes fixed on a spot between his feet, Kira was thinking of there next move. But how could they make an assault on a prison with about 10-15 students, and Erk. Then something sparked in his mind. Thats it, Erk. Standing quickly back up, his pupils turned red.

We are going to rescue him, Raven you go get Erk, we need to tell him what we have just discovered. But try not to give anything away to Cid, not just yet. He will only try to stop us. Nioelle, your with me. We are going to gather the students, as many as we can find.

Crysta listened carefully to the letter as they read it out loud. She stayed there for a moment, and thought for a while. Then, hearing Kira speak, it was like if he read her mind. She was going to suggest somethign similar, but that was better. She stood from where she was, didn't even notice that she sat down while listening, but continued over to the others. She was sure the others would ask what the heck she was doing in here, so she just sigh and spoke to them, "I know you're wondering what I'm doing here. I just came from Cid's place and he seemed really worried and beaten up about the guy so I figured I could check it out... When I came in, I heard you guys. And you better count me in on all this, even if I don't know him." she said, and she would go even if they agreed or not. She needed to do something. It was getting too boring for the past few months.

try to ~~break~~ that cycle or resign ourselves

Nia saw Kira walking in Shinus dorm, she was curious to know what he wanted there, it wasn't normal for him to do it, unless he found a clue. She looked at the books she was supposed to give one of the professors and speed up a bit not wanting to miss anything. Shame that she promised to get these books to him especially at this time.

When Nia was heading back she was running since she didn't have the weigh of the books anymore. She stopped in front of the door to catch a breath and looked around making sure that no one was around and walked in Shinus dorm, just in time to hear Kiras words.

"So I was right when I saw you walking in this dorm Kira, you found clues finally..."

Nia looked at Nioelle and walked up to her, she was pale, probably cause of the letter she was holding in her hands. Nia wrapped her arm around Nioelles shoulders not asking about anything.

"Yea you want me to go fetch that old man, ooh this is just grand but i guess i'll do it. The faster we can rescue shinu from Galbadia the better. Though it may take sometime to even get there,"

Raven said and stood up.

He then walked past Nioelle and Nia. Not wanting to say anything just in case, he just shook his head and walked out of the door. The problem wasn't that he didn't want to find Erk, its just how he was gonna find the old man. That guy seemed to disappear and appear at random moments.

"You know he should really have a buzzer or something.."

Nioelle stared at the letter, at a loss from words. Tears filled her eyes, but she couldn't blink them away. They fell down her face, and she didn't care enough to wipe them away. Nia had put her arm around Nioelle's shoulders, but she barely felt a thing. Her mind was racing too much to notice anything out of her mind. Images of Shinu being tortured filled her mind, and she couldn't shake them. Finally, she tuned to Nia and, dropping the letter, hugged Nia.

I'm sorry, I just...

She stopped mid-sentence, her tears finally winning the battle. She felt bad with how she spontaneously hugged Nia, but she didn't care. She only cared about one thing: rescuing Shinu.

"Shhh, you don't have to say anything, we will get him back."

Nia hugged Nioelle tightly and caressed her hair, she didn't wanted to say anything, no words could actually help at a time like this. Instead she looked at Kira trying to tell him with only her eyes that he should hurry out to get the students already.

She totaly ignored Crysta, knowing that that girl could start another fight especially at a time like this.

Crysta, come with me. Nioelle you lay down for a while. We'll be back when we are ready to go.

Kira walked to the door of the dorm and waited for Crysta to follow him. He needed to gather all of the students that he could find. So far there where five students. Raven may not even be able to find Erk, Erk being as mysterious as he is.

Usually, Crysta was one to destroy any moment or make people feel really bad when they were feeling bad enough, but the look in Nioelle’s face absolutely shocked her. She never knew someone could mean so much for someone else. He must have been some guy to make her cry like that, especially had to be something special... at least to her, but since people are making a fuzz over him and planning to go on a mission without even telling the headmaster... dang.

She nodded to Kira and followed him to the door. She looked around at the long hall, "Hm... wonder if we should do this the quiet way, or my way?" She said and then smiled. She passed Kira and started punching some the doors as she continued through the doors of some of the students making a loud racket and possibly annoying those inside making them want to go outside and found out who was disturbing the piece. She turned to face Kira who was still over at the door of Shinu’s place, "That good enough or should we keep it down for the rest?" she asked playfully and walked back to him.
