Nia walked to the room the number she had written on the piece of paper she got when she came to the Garden. As she opened the room she smiled, no one seemed to be in there and she came pretty late so that could mean only one thing. This dorm was all hers.

Shinu was walking down the hall when he thought he saw a familiar girl walking into room 006, which he assumed was empty. He had a break from training, so he thought it would be nice to meet someone new potentially. He walked over and gently knocked on the door that was already open and peered in. He was happy to see it was someone he knew.

Hello Nia, finally getting settled huh?

Nia looked at the person that just entered and smiled softly.

"Ah yes Shinu, I actually just got here and am trying to unpack, it's a nice place don't you think? Ah well, still it will take me a bit to get used to it. But at least I have a room just for myself for a bit at least, feels like home. Just one question, do you always enter a room without permission?"

She shook her head and laughed. She wasn't mad, especially since she left her door open.

You know, I think I just like to make my presence felt. It is a lovely room though. How did you get so lucky to have your own room anyways?

Shinu laughed, that was the second time now that she was giving him a hard time. He didn't mind though, he enjoyed her sense of humor.

"Well I was one of the last that came here, I don't like being late but this time it seems I was lucky."

She said taking her books out of her a bit too big bag and placing them on a shelf. Most of them were about healing, but there were some about swords too. She was putting them separatly and her favourite one she left on her bed wanting to read before going to sleep.

That's qutie the collection of books you have there.

Shinu walked over and picked up a couple of them. He read quite a lot, in fact, there weren't too many books he hadn't read in his short life time.

I've always been fascinated with the arts of healing. It's amazing to me that more time and people aren't invested in such a noble area of study. For whatever reason, I don't have the talent to do it. I've traied, but my body control doesn't give me the outcome I want. I think part of it is just natural ability as well as a great amount of studying.

"I actually never had to study healing too much, but you are right, you have to have it in you I guess."

Nia took a book in her hand and shook her head.

"That's something I will have to study hard though, battling with two swords... my family is crazy."

Wow, that's pretty amazing. I study a lot, but I hear that I'm lucky for liking to study.

Shinu looked at her and wanted to chuckle at the thought of having to study for swordsmanship.

I'm not exactly a sword master, I've actually never been allowed to hold a blade. Even if I was allowed to, I think I'd be too scared. My roommate is trying to help me though. What I do know is that reading about swords can't make anyone a blade master. Practice is the best way!

Nia laughed looking at him and leaving the book on the shelf.

"So you need people to fight for you huh? Oh well, I'll protect you if we'll ever go together on a mission. About swords though, yes, I am practicing too. But you need to know some stuff about your blade. Material that it's made off and it's good and bad sides. Not all teachers know about all swords, most are masters of one kind and know most about it."

She sat on her bed looking up at the ceiling thinking.

"I am still not sure what kind of blade will suit me, that's why I have these books"

Shinu gave a small chuckle. Here was such an unimposing figure, promising to protect him on missions. Was he that weak? Obviously he was the most capable member with the damage he could deal summoning GFs... but perhaps hand to hand combat was the only way to truly earn the respect of his peers.

That can take some time, do you have any favorites as of now?

Shinu asked this in the hopes of hiding his annoyance with himself. The more popular he got here, the less he liked himself.
