Well that makes sense.

Shinu rolled over again, this time pressing his nose against the wall. If it wasn't for the room being so quiet, he would have been inaudible.

I guess since my life is battle free for the most part, all I do is think. I have more thoughts in a day than most people get in a lifetime. After thinking about our world so long, sometimes I wonder what's beyond it. There is so much sky out there, and what if there's more that we can't see? There's frankly no way to do it though.

He sighed, and rolled over on his back. Looking to the sky was a fun dream of his. Supposedly it had no practicality and wouldn't "help" anything so there was no point in wasting his brain.

"Perhaps one day we will reach beyond. But for now we are stuck on this planet, and we have to do what we can to protect it." Grieves said trying not to dash Shinu's dream. To have dreams is to have hope, Grieves knew but he had never really had any dreams for his future or for anything really. In fact he'd prefer never to sleep again to avoid his nightmares.

"But if you truely wish to reach beyond these skies, you have to fight for it, and work hard to achieve what u desire. I may not know you very well yet, but I'm sure you'll be able to."

We will protect this planet. There's no doubt about that. But there are people out there Johnathan. People with a lot of power and influence that will not like my discoveries that I make here at the Garden.

Shinu sighed and looked up at the ceiling again. He was a man ahead of this time. His brain far more advance than any other. His ideas far too controversial, far too risky. If he didn't try though, his blessings would have been in vain. If a man like Johnathan had his ideas, there was no doubt that he would go through with them.

Thank you for the confidence. If I ever figure out a way to get to space, you're definitely coming with me.

Grieves laughed at the idea. A man like him in space? not exactly where he pictured himself in the future. Then again he didn't picture himself getting very far at all in life.

"Maybe one day, but i try not to live in my dreams, only in the present." Grieves said looking up out a window towards the town. "But its always nice to have dreams to hold onto."

Yeah, you're right about that. Without hard work now, the future will never happen the way we want it to.

Shinu looked at Johnathan, and then noticed that there was a door close by his bed.

Hey what does that door lead to? I thought this was all there was to our room.

He rolled over and got up. Quickly he shuffled to the door and quickly opened it.

Dude!

On the other end of that door was a seperate room within the room! It was a living room so to speak. There was a large lush couch, gray in color with a black stripe down going horizontally at the bottom. There was a lovely dark stained coffee table rectangle in shape with a thick glass as expanding the length, serving as a table top. On the north wall was a projector's screen, probably used for research. Film technology was new, but a lot of expirements were moving from journal to film. Also along the western wall was a mini refrigerator and small convenient oven. This was beyond awesome.

Johnathan... this whole time... we had the LUXURY ROOM!

"Living here is going to be more comfortable than i thought." Grieves said smiling.

No kidding! We could have like... parties in here with all this space!

An evil grin came across Shinu's face as he smiled at John...

"Parties huh?" Grieves said curiously. Grieves had never been to a party, at least not one that he didn't have to end in a bloody massacre. Maybe it could be fun...

"Sounds good to me."

So who are you taking to the ball Johnathan? I know you're going out shopping with us right?!!

Shinu was very excited. The prospect of parties made him remember the ball and he was anxious to get a suit. He was so happy he'd be taking Nioelle too!

Maybe we should have the after party in here!

"I'm not shopping, ill just be wearing my uniform. Thats as formal as i get." Grieves said, "but the after party should be in here. We have the room, and im not sure if anyone else has this much space but this would be a good ice breaker for new students."
