This is where you kind of went wrong. The best thing to do is not have a clue at all. Sure it's nice to have it figured out like I do. However, one year ago, I was thinking Finance, and now there's just no way I could do that. So going in undecided isn't exactly a bad thing. Freshman take a lot of the same core classes, and declaring "exploration" isn't a bad thing. You get to try different classes and you may find out you like something you never knew you did.

As for you Lucifer, I'd like to just ask this before I fully comment, and don't take any offense, it's just a question that I've pondered myself.

What happens when those goals contradict one another?

There is no offense taken. Please feel free to open your comment because I know you would never step on anyone else just for the sake of making youreself feel better. but to answer your question, then I guess I'd have to either adapt, or take the most important one and sacrifice the other....

Well here's what I mean. I'm almost asking this more for myself than for you.

Being a father and role model is obviously important for us both. I think it's fair to say that we'd like our kids to do something they love and enjoy for a living.

However, in my case, my dream job (for love and joy) will not make that opportunity available for my kids guaranteed. So for me, I sacrificed the job I'd love for the job I need.

Of course there are other such things that go along with this. My biggest concern is my kids knowing that my job is not the one I love, yet I sell to them how important it is to do the job that you'll wake up in the morning happy to go to.

Well that just goes to show that situation dictates the 'need'. You have very very high aspirations{that's a good thing} so you need a job that'll support that and from what I got from all our previous convos regarding goals is that the career you found with your expertise doesn't have a 'happy' ring in the morning to it. Correct me if I'm wrong but you are driven through the fields of a whole lot of stress and confrontation. I'm not saying any job is easy, but there are some harders than others and you have chosen a very meticulous path.

I think your kids will have your self driven personality and your work ethic, how they branch of and as to what field, jeez I wouldn't be able to say. I guess the most important part in my opinion is that they gain your, once again your work eithic and your self motivation.

If I can give them those two things, that wouldn't be bad, not at all. However, I do not want my kids to have to absolutely kill themselves working like I have already. I'm sure that before they're born my work weeks will be ridiculous, and maybe even some when they're still babies. I'm trying to be so set financially by the time they're going to school I won't have to work so much so I can spend more time with them.

I kinda don't practice what I preach. I want them to grow up having fulfilling lives with a lot of fun and happiness. However, mine wasn't that way, but that's just to get them their chance. It's a sticky situation for me.

Yeah.... another bad thing as I have experienced that hard working parents sometimes don't get time to spend with their kids. But at the same token, gotta have roof over the head and food on the table. So it's a double edged sword. Well hopefully your plans work out well.

Not all of us pratice what we preach. I have a lot of regrets and sometimes I sway from my concept of honor.... I try my best to redeem every living day.

Well, for college, I'd like to have an apartment. I don't really need anything big {Except for my closet XD}. It's a it pointless, in my opinion, cause I'll basicly be out most of the time like in classes, and study outside... somewhere XD like somewhere with not that much noise and it's windy. And... not have my parents close, but for them to still send some money over :p and... of course I want to be with someone, but I'm not letting anyone or any emotions get in the way of me graduating. I also would like to get a job at one of the best stores ever, Saks Fifth Avenue! ...[but that's like a part-time job cause I wont be receiving much money to make it as a living, duhhhh] XD

Don't search and look for love or that special someone. When the time is right, they'll find you, and you can fall in love or fall in lust again...

that's what I always say to someone *looks evily at Jimi* XD

Anyway for me it would be... ok, it's too obvious I don't have a plan at all XD First I wanted to be a dancer but since I didn't had the money to pay for dance classes it's too late now Sad then decorating houses etc. but once I went to the school where I had my exam I felt like it wasn't what I really wanted. Since I was playing with my photoshop before (when I had it) my mom and dad told me to try to go for computer graphics, I liked the idea so my dad found the only college in the city that has is. The only problem is that you need to pay for it T.T so that means no privacy for college time >.> I'll have to live with my dad AND with my grandparents and my stupid cousin that is surely going to piss me off oh well..

Now for the house... I don't want an apartment at all. I want a house with a yard and not in the city, I had enough in Athens. I would love to have family and a pet (read: a cat) XD

but yeah I am so undecided that it hurts XD
