Today was a grand day at Balamb Garden, the newest addition to the SeeD Academy. A new group of young heroes were beginning to emerge, and though the world didn't know it, they provided the best chance to stop the looming danger that wasn't present yet. They worked together well, got along (as good as teenagers could), and they were starting to trust in one another. Days ago, they journeyed together into a perilous volcano to bring the power of the Fire God Ifrit to the Garden. For the occassion, the events committee has decided to recreate the scene and has decorated the ballroom in honor of the Fire God himself.
Lining the ballroom was a set of large foam rocks, painted to appear as if they were from the volcano itself. The gray and black charred colors lined the interior perimeter, enclosing the ballroom and making the grand room seem much more intimiate. From the ceiling, there was a mix of red, orange, yellow, and blue butcher paper twisted around one another and hanging down to create a fiery atmosphere. Red butcher paper covered a paper mache lava flow that wrapped around the ballroom, twisting in and around the dance floor and seating area. There were many oval shaped tables that could seat up to twelve at each one. The table coverings were made from silk and red in color, elegantly flowing over the sides. Tri fork candle holders lit with brilliant blue and orange flames were the centerpieces for each table.
As the first batch of students, no doubt freshman began to arrive, hundreds of orange and yellow ballons were released, and flopping all around. Each was circular and modest in size, and all of them were bouncing around, floating slowly. Selphie, head of the event committee looked on with glee, though waiting for someone to pop a balloon so she could pop their heads with a fork! She tried to calm down as she viewed the rest of her creation.
The entrance to the ballroom donned a grand arch, at least fourteen feet in height, made from shaped igneous rocks literally taken from the Fire God's home itself. The tips of each rock was painted with red and orange to make it more vibrant. Draped over the arch was a flowing banner, with brilliantly sewn words on it. "Congratulations for a Mission Complete!!!"
Most of the younger students had arrived, but still no sight of this missions' heroes. Of course, they would be fashionably late at Shinu's will. He had told them to let the ballroom fill up first, and for some unknown reason, people listened to him again.

In the main lobby of the Garden, Shinu waited for his fellow students whom he'd bonded with so much in the first few days of being here. Most importantly, he wanted to see Nioelle in her dress. For now, he checked his suit and shoes over and over to make sure nothing spilled on it. (Check below for suit)
