Corenian turned a corner, finding himself at the entrance to the office, his faithful familiar floating around him, defying the laws of physics and reasoning as usual with her very existance.The letter had arrived, that's what the elders from the mountain had told him in a letter sepcified for him. He didn't feel comfortable doing something like this though, rather he didn't want to but he had obligations to do so... Fia understood but he still didn't want to do it.

No, the exorcism was not to be performed on Fia, rather, on the lost souls of those who had perished, previous SeeD batches who had died in battle or careless/foolhardy students who had died in the monster range late in the night, their bodies found only days later, rotting. The souls were unhappy, probably always had been and were crying. This had to be stopped somehow or sooner or later... he and Fia had sensed the prescence many months back and had sent a report back to the elders for follow-up. Due to the slow speed that it takes for letters to come and go, the return letter came only months later and he barely remembered any of it by now. As per the contents of the letter, another had been sent to the headmaster requesting that they be allowed to send someone to do the exorcism.

That person was to be Corenian. Despite the fact that his skills in such arts were weak, not even mediocre to say the least, he was the closet to the scene and sending someone from all the way at the mountains would be impossible due to the huge ground that had to be covered. Hence despite his lack of experience, his skills being practically rudimentary, he was asked to do it. Now here he was, outside the office, where he was to settle the issue of whether to allow this matter to be handed over to them and whether Corenian could try drawing support from the student community would be possible.

Heaving a heavy sigh, Corenian rapped on the office door and waited there for Cid to call him. Sticking her head into the room, Fia quickly withdrew herself giggling," he's inside that's for sure and he seems somewhat idle too, he'd be lying to say he was busy."
"Fia, you really shouldn't always do that, it's an invasion of privacy you know, how many times must I tell you, one day you're gonna stumble upon something you'll regret."
"Aaaw, but what fun would that be."
Comment came after comment and soon the two were in an audible arguement outside the door, garnering the attention of many worried students at seeing someone argue with themself outside the office.

Corenian was an interesting case to say the least. Cid was just glad he made friends amongst his peers and other top tier students at the Garden. He knew that Shinu and Kairi were amongst the first to welcome Corenian, and pairing him with Lucien seemed to pay dividends. Still though, his spirit friend would never allow students who were intimidated by his skill in battle to ever get to know him.

Cid yelled out in a cheerful tone. He always laughed at how Corenian would pause in front of his door. He never minded his company and was quite interested in what he was bringing forth today.

Startled, Corenian jump, realising what was happening around him. Turning a deep red, he silently entered the room, Fia tagging behind obviously amused by the result. Entering the room Corenian greeted Cid with a slight bow before walking over to the seat, taking out the document that had been sent to him.
"G-good afternoon s-sir," he mumbled as he sat down, clearing his throat and taking a deep breathe to calm himself before resuming his sentence, "y-yes well, I'm here to discuss the details of the job with you, I believe there was a letter of some sort that was sent from his side... Either way, this is related to the grave for the deceased students and SeeD members who have been buried in the graveyard not far from the school. While doing our own private investigations, Fia and I have detected the anguish the spirits feel so we sent a message back to the mountains which after a few months, returned."

"The issue at hand is that their anguish is building up and left unchecked, it could be disastrous to say the least. However, sensei said that no manpower can be spent due to the long trip and that there were no others in the surrounding area as this is a very limited style employed as it does little harm to humans. Hence, despite my lack of experience I've been asked to do it."

"Due to this, there are three possible outcomes which I have already planned for. Firstly, success... Secondly, I fail and get possessed but Fia can help me with that. The Third and most likely outcome, I fail and the angered spirits begin... reanimating in that sense which would result in hundreds of living dead roaming the area killing anything in sight as unbelieveable as that sounds along with a smaller number of spirits, bascially the ones who have more control over the situation and are manipulating the lesser for their revenge and anguish."

"Hence if such a case happens, I require aid in quelling such an onslaught so half my purpose for this request visit is for the aid from other students, voluntarily of course and also for permission to perform an exorcism at the graveyard as it may be considered desacration if I do not ask."

Breathing heavily and practically out of breathe by now, Corenian slumped into the chair slightly dazed from the lack of air. Slowly regaining his composure, he looked up at Cid, waiting for him to process his messy speech and for his reply.

What could he say to this? He wasn't prepared to be faced with this type of problem to say the least. Reanimating corpses was not good, especially not with... Diablos.

Corenian I will grant you permission to perform the exorcist. I only ask that you give me three days to prepare this mission. Not only will I grant you aid, but this has just been elevated to full mission status. Shinu and the like will be joining you. Is there anything else that I need to know in order to best prepare our students?
