Faina knocked on the headmaster's door nervously before cracking it open and peeking her had inside.

Sir? I'm very sorry to bother you, but I wanted to introduce myself because I wasn't at the mission briefing... Sorry about that. Also, I have a few important questions. May I come in?

Cid shuffled his papers a bit, and stacked them to have some clear space on his desk.

He opened his drawer and flipped through some folders before pulling out her information.

So what did you need to speak with me about?

Yes, I'm Faina. I wanted to speak with you about... Well, the entire reason I'm here. I can do weird things- I get in trouble and great beasts appear before my eyes. They save me. People keep telling me that I'm a summoner, and tht the beasts are what we call Guardian Forces, but... I'm so lost. Is there anyone here like me? Am I a freak? What does all of this mean?!

Well sadly Faina, I can't answer those questions for you. I can answer one though, you are not a freak. The problem is, the thought of GFs is still as new to me as it is to you. There is one person here that can help you though.

Cid handed over a pciture of Shinu. It was a regular 4x6 picture taken by one of the younger students upon Shinu's arrival.

His name is Shinu. You've probably heard of him. He's the worlds leading researcher in the area of summonings and many other things. He is by far one of the top students here, and he would be excited to learn about you and help you the best he could.
